The 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari is designed for travelers looking for the ultimate African adventure. Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On your first day of the 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide depending on where you will be picked, your hotel or airpot, who will brief you about the safari and then set off to to Bwindi impenetrable national park which can last between 4 to 5 hours’ drive through border crossing ‘’Katuna ‘’ in Kabale. On the way, you will enjoy amazing views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands, beautiful scenery many others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge (mid-range),  Buhoma Lodge (Luxury), or  Karungi Camp.

Accommodation options in Entebbe include: Via Via hotel, 2 Friends Beach hotel, Karibu Guesthouse Entebbe, Golden Quest Hotel Entebbe, or Papyrus Guesthouse Entebbe.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, carry your packed lunch boxes from the lodge and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest trails in search of the endangered mountain gorillas, which takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on their movements in search of food. During gorilla trekking, you will be able to view other primate species like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, different plant species, birds many others.

On seeing the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, which gives you an opportunity to watch their habits, behaviors, watch gorillas feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos, and record the breathtaking moments for future remembrance. After the one-hour encounter with the great mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point, where you will be rewarded with a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, and then return to the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

On day 3 of the 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari, you will wake up, have breakfast, and after drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon your arrival at the park, you will enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge. Then, after going for an evening game drive, where you will view the park’s treasures such as zebras, eland, buffaloes, otter, water bucks, Topi, Giraffes many others, you will also have chances of seeing various notable bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo Lodge (mid-range), Hyena Hill Lodge, Arcadia Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Jinja for White Water rafting

On day 4 of the 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari, after an early morning breakfast, you will then transfer to Jinja with a stopover at the equator in Kayebwe for memorable photography taking and water experiment as well as having en route lunch. Then, after continuing a drive to Jinja and arrival at the hotel for check-in as you wait for the next day’s activity. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: White water rafting in Jinja

On day 5 of the 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari, you will wake up have an early morning breakfast and then set up for white water rafting experience where you will be led by professional’s guide through choosing which range of grade to do in hours- half day which takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes allowing you to come across 4 water rapids and you have chance of seeing beautiful water birds hovering around. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Mambaba and departure to Kampala

On the last day of the 6 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and White Rafting Safari, have breakfast at the hotel and check out of the hotel at 6 am and drive to Mambaba swamp in Entebbe for a birding safari excursion, which is carried out on a canoe ride along the narrow channels of the swamp. You will be able to watch various shoe bills and other birds such as Papyrus Gonolek, Africa Pygmy goose, Lesser Jacana, Blue-breasted bee-eater, Palm-nut Vulture, Palm- nut vulture many more. Then in the afternoon, you will meet up with your driver/guide and start your way back to Kampala. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place of your choice.
