3 Days Uganda Big Five Safari

This 3 Days Uganda Big Five Safari leads you to Murchison Falls National Park, home dotted with wide open savannah grassland and the Victoria Nile that flows through, divided into two, the northern and southern banks. The park is home to over 451 bird species,76 mammal species, a large number of Nile crocodiles, as well as thunderous Murchison Falls that squeeze their way through a gorge.  This safari also gives you a high chance to enjoy rhino tracking at Ziwa sanctuary, game drives, and boat cruises along the Nile River.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Ziwa Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking

Start with pick-up by our expert driver guide from Kampala or Entebbe depending on your flight or overnight hotel, brief you about the safari, and then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking, making up for your Big Five experience. After rhino tracking, proceed to Murchison Falls and upon arriving at the park, drive straight to the top of the falls where you will enjoy sightseeing of thundering waterfalls and memorable picture taking. Then, after connecting to your booked lodge, check in and go enjoy an evening game drive. Expect to explore herds of elephants, buffaloes, lions, or leopards, among others. Back to the lodge for a detectable dinner and an overnight stay at Red Chili Rest Camp, Murchison Falls Bamboo Village, or Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and Boat Cruise along the Nile

On day 2 of the 3 Days Uganda Big Five Safari, you will wake up early at around 6:30 am. Embark on a morning game drive with the help of your driver and ranger guide. You will be able to track predators and other animal species, like lions, hyenas, on the hunt. After the game drive, drive back to the lodge, have a late breakfast, relax as you wait for yummy lunch, and get ready for the afternoon boat cruise.

Along your boat cruise, you will be able to see various Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the banks of the Nile as well as various unique birds such as bee-eaters, the colored kingfisher, the shoebill stork many more. You can opt to go for an evening game drive on your way back to the lodge. You will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala

On the last day of the safari, you will enjoy your breakfast, then proceed with another game drive in the morning on your way back to Kampala.  Morning hours are a great time to search for various animal species such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, and antelopes, and various bird species.  You will say farewell to the park, depart to Kampala with a stop in Masindi for a hot lunch. On arriving, your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home.
