1 Day Akagera National Park Safari
This 1 Day Akagera National Park Safari takes you to one of the breathtaking safari destinations in Rwanda, Akagera National Park, located in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. This safari will give an opportunity to encounter wildlife in Rwanda’s only Savannah park in Rwanda and is home to several mammal species, including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, and Rhinos, making Akagera National Park officially a Big 5 park.
Safari Details
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park and a full Game drive
As early as 6:00 am, you will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali city to transfer to Akagera national park where you will arrive in time to embark in the full game drive that will give you the chance to watch a number of game animals especially the herbivores like the elephants grazing within the plains, the rhinos, as you are driven near the water sources, you will get to see a number of species like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, African King fishers catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. After your Safari, return to connect with your driver guide to embark on your transfer back to Kigali, having lunch en route, after which you will be dropped at a location of your choice in Kigali city or at the Kigali international airport as you may advise.
