As early as 6:00 am, you will be picked up by your guide to participate in the 1 Day Kampala City Safari, which will lead you to a number of different safari destinations giving you the most memorable safari experience, combining the history of the country and the culture.

You will visit the king’s palace in Mengo, which will give you an insight into one of the most powerful kingdoms in Uganda, the Buganda Kingdom. At the palace, you will have the chance to enjoy the rich history of Uganda, understanding the role of the kingdom in the history of Uganda. It should be noted that the first president of Uganda was the Kabaka of Buganda, Kabaka Muteesa, who was also the king of Uganda. You will also get to have an insight of the 1966 Uganda crisis, which led to the President running into exile in the United Kingdom.  At the palace, you will also get to visit Idi Amin’s torture chambers, where he tortured a number of Ugandans during his reign.

You will also get to visit Nakasero market, which is the oldest and largest market in Uganda, where you will get to interact with the people of Uganda, you will get to purchase some organic fruits, get to interact with the locals as you purchase different souvenirs, and so on.

You will visit the different religious sites, the Bahai temple, the Namirembe cathedral, Rubaga cathedral, and the Uganda National Mosque, donated by Lt. Col Mouamr Gadhafi, once a leader of Libya.

You will also get to visit the Uganda museum which will give you the chance to understand the cultures of the people of Uganda when youy visit the different houses at the museum like the Ankole house which will give you an insight of the ankole culture through their food, their traditions tools that they use and so many more all of which will make your Uganda cultural safaris quite rewarding.
